Accessibility statement.
Our target
This site is built and tested to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the accessibility standard most widely adopted across the UK public and private sector.
How we test
We test the site with:
- Keyboard-only navigation
- VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows, and the built-in screen reader on iOS
- The browser-native accessibility tree and automated checkers (axe DevTools, Lighthouse)
- Forced colours and zoom up to 400%
Known limitations
The site is small and we keep this list current to the best of our knowledge.
- Hero animation. The homepage hero uses a WebGL fluid distortion on the word “clarity”. The decorative animation is skipped when you have reduced-motion enabled in your operating system. The headline behind the animation is real, readable text and is reachable by screen reader regardless of the animation state.
- Inline placeholder graphics. Some project rows and post lead images currently render as flat-colour SVG placeholders rather than real photography. Their alt text is intentionally empty because they carry no content; these will be replaced with real, captioned imagery as projects ship.
- Custom select dropdown. The Project Type field on the contact form has a custom dropdown style. Native keyboard handling and screen-reader behaviour are preserved; if you encounter a problem with it, please get in touch.
Reporting an accessibility issue
If something on the site is unusable for you, or you encounter an accessibility barrier we have not listed, please write to colette@copperjetty.com. Include the page URL and a brief description of the problem, and we will respond within five working days.
You may also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service at equalityadvisoryservice.com if you are not satisfied with our response.
How this statement is kept current
This statement was last reviewed in May 2026. We update it whenever the site changes in a way that affects accessibility, and at least once a year.
